Two aces — hearts and spades — joined by a gold and blue ribbon, above an alpine lake at dawn.

More than solitaire

Two solitaire games.
One connected challenge.

Doubletaire takes the solitaire you know and connects two games in a new way. Play both layouts yourself, or share the challenge with another player.

The connection

The card you need may be in the other game.

In solitaire, a card you cannot use is simply stuck. Doubletaire changes what that means. When the game’s connection conditions are satisfied, a card in one layout can create a possibility in the other — and the move you were missing appears.

Solo

Two games. One player.

You manage both layouts yourself. The challenge is not solving two games in parallel — it is seeing them as one connected system and finding the order that works.

Sometimes the best move for one game is waiting in the other.

Play together

Solitaire doesn't have to be solitary.

Two players each take a layout and work toward a connected result. You talk, you plan, and you watch for the moments when something on your side is exactly what the other side needs.

  • Each player takes one of the two layouts.
  • Talk it through — the other board is half the puzzle.
  • Progress is shared, and so is the result.

Cooperative by design — you win it together, not against each other.

How it works

Play. Connect. Share. Solve.

  1. Play

Start with solitaire the way you already know it. Familiar layouts, familiar moves, nothing new to learn first.

  2. Connect

Read both layouts as one board. Watch for the moments where progress on one side changes what is possible on the other.

  3. Share

When the connection conditions are satisfied, a card can cross between the games — and a dead end becomes a move.

  4. Solve

Work both layouts to completion. There are many routes through, and sharing is usually what separates them.

Design

Familiar enough to begin.
Different enough to rethink every move.

Easy to begin

If you can play solitaire, you can start playing Doubletaire immediately.

Readable at a glance

Two layouts on one screen only works if both stay legible. Clarity comes before decoration.

Strategically interesting

The connection adds decisions, not clutter. There is usually more than one way through.

Respectful of your time

No pressure loops, no manufactured urgency. Play a hand, or play for an hour.

Two solitaire games. One connected challenge.

Doubletaire is in development for iOS. There is no release date to announce yet — but this is where it will be.
